The Maugean Skate is a Gondwanan relic. That means it has been here since the time of the dinosaurs!! It has specifically adapted to live in its final critical habitat, Macquarie Harbour, on Tasmania’s West Coast. There are only 1000 of them left and they need our support for protection and survival into the future.
